I asked Sally and Podium Fitness to help get me back into fitness after a period of not exercising. The experience has totally exceeded my expectations and through the programme put together I am now leaner, fitter and faster than I have been in years. I have shaved over 10 mins off my 5k time and have lost over a stone and a half in 3 months.
The most impressive thing with Podium fitness is that they take the time to understand you as a person and gear the training and nutritional advice to you, rather than impose a set regime for you to follow. Goals are reviewed regularly and Sally and her team are really good at moving things forward to you are always improving.

"I was recommended Podium Fitness 23 by a friend and got in touch as I wanted to lose 7Kg before I took part in an important dance show. I was not feeling body confident and wanted to take to the stage knowing I was in good shape. My eating habits were not great and I needed the structure and accountability that Sally's programmes offered.
I workout in my garden and local park. The trainers were flexible to my needs and with a young family it can be quite changeable. This was never a problem and meant I was able to keep pushing myself where in the past I would have had to skip training sessions.

"I am an 8-handicap serious golfer. When I turned 61 in August 2016 I decided it was time to get fitter for golf and life in general. I wondered whether I had left it too late. Not with Sally's help! I had been going to the gym each week but was not working out smartly. Sally has showed me how to use my time better. I never believed that I could get the physique I have now but Sally had no doubt as long as I had the commitment. It was hard but she was right!
My journey started with excellent nutrition advice from Sally so that I greatly improved my diet before commencing on the physical work. I hate exercise, it's so boring! In the gym I continued to be bored but in my twice weekly sessions with Sally there was so much variety that I even enjoyed some of the workouts, particularly the boxing which I recommend to everyone to try. Sally and I got to the point of setting each other challenges, a great way to keep motivated. For example, Sally persuaded me to take up running (which I had not done since forced to run cross country at school) with a goal of 5km in 30 minutes. After only 6 weeks, when we ran together for the first time, we both ran 5km in less than 25 minutes.
A bonus for me is that Sally has taken a real interest in my golf, walking the course with me while I played and attending a lesson with my golf coach, Stuart. Sally had already identified that my hips were not as flexible as they should be thus restricting my swing but with Stuart they identified other areas to work on. In the next few months I hope that the benefit will be seen in reducing my handicap.

Julie started working with PF23 in July 2016. Having had three children she slowly put the weight on over a number of years and finally decided she was not happy with her body and wanted to make a change.
With short term, focused training and nutrition Julie was able to lose 4 stones and now is targeting maintaining her weight and gaining lean muscle mass.
